Jennie Oosterhouse Wonderful Life June 22, 2008
Hi Laura, Troy and Suzanne, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful woman who lived life to the fullest. I will remember the wonderful times we spent with your mom. What fun she was! Take comfort in all the great memories you have of her. The slide show was a wonderful tribute to her life. Take care and know that I have been thinking of you all. Love, Jennie Oosterhouse

Life is a precious gift, the best way to honor Dorothy is to live life to it's fullest. Laura,Troy and Suzanne are gifts from Mom.........she is the reason all three of you are here. Even though I didn't know Dorothy, I know she would want her children to live life to it's fullest.......I am sad for you three and your families, however as for Dorothy......she is now soaring high and I envy her!
Jeannine Gagnon Glockler My Lifetime Friend June 12, 2008
Dear Laura, Suzanne, and Troy, My lifetime of memories with your mother is embedded in my heart: years spent playing and growing up at your grandparents home, all the St. Paul processions we endured together, carpooling through highschool years. and a year at the Mount....  As a history major, Dorothy was so bright .... but her joie de vivre was her trademark.  Marymount reunions will never be the same without her spirit and infectious laughter!  Dorothy had much so more to give us, but left us far too soon.  With all my love, Jeannine
Sue Connolly God Bless Dorothy June 10, 2008

My prayers and sympathy go to Laura, Suzanne and Troy on behalf of my dear friend and your wonderful mother. We were classmates from third grade to frosh year at the Mount. It was fun to catch up at our Marymount reunions. Our dads used to sneak away from our Father- Daughter picnics at Marymout. They were toasting our friendship. We still laughed about those days recently. You're an angel in Heaven, Dorothy!

Love forever, Sue

For those of us who never met Dorothy, this memorial is a beautiful way to better understand what she meant to her loved ones. What a difficult loss her passing is for all of you, and I pray your happy memories will soon replace your pain. These photos show so much love, in Dorothy's face and the faces of her children, grandchildren, family and friends - it warms my heart and I'm glad to have the opportunity to know her this way. May Saturday's celebration be filled with peace and love for all of you.
Mary Beebe As I Remember June 3, 2008

To Dorothy's Loved Ones,

I know your hearts are sad and your arms are empty, but soon you will only remember the good days. I can't be with you on Saturday, but I shall stop in my busy day and remember a great teacher and a friend. I was a substitute teacher for her a few times at Allen School. She was always such a positive influence to us all. She will be missed.

My prayers are with you all at this time of loss.

Julie Wright In Memory of My Favorite Teacher June 2, 2008

To Dorothy's family:

I want to extend my deepest sympathies for your loss.  Your mother was a wonderful woman and was far and away the best teacher I have ever encountered!   I kept in touch with her for years after she was my second and third grade teacher and she touched my life in so many ways.  She had a tremendous impact on my life and I will never forget her!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Although I never met Dorothy, I know Laura and her family.  To have raised such an exceptional woman, who in turn is raising such wonderful children....well....it's no wonder she touched so many lives.  Obviously, one great lady!

I wish you all a warm and beautiful day on Saturday...one filled with love, peace and cherished memories.

Gloria Travaglini Chess In Memory of Dorothy May 30, 2008

To Dorothy's Beautiful Children,

I exiend my most profound sympathy for your great loss. Your Mother was an exceptional women and I was priviledged to call her FRIEND. During our four years at the Mount, Dorothy and I were very close friends, sorority sisters and class mates. After graduation we shared our love for teaching and our personal joys and tragedies. I looked forward to our too infrequest visits, phone calls and the Xmas card I looked  for every year with the picture of her with her treasures. Sadly, since we moved to Ventura county, we lost tract of each other and I never even knew she was ill. I am so profoundly saddened by this.

I always loved Dorothy and always will and will always remember her contagious smile and laughter. She is at peace now and I will continue to pray for her, and for all of you. Again, please accept my deepest sympathy Love, Gloria Travaglini Chess
